AI video for ecommerce: 100 SKUs under one locked brand model, priced in credits
A 100-SKU product catalog walkthrough that locks one brand model across every SKU, with the credit math and the shot layout we actually render.

The 2026 SERP for "AI video for ecommerce" is a per-second rate card. FLUX 3 Video, released by Black Forest Labs on 2026-08-04, bills $0.17 per second. MiniMax H3, shipped 2026-07-31, bills $0.09 per second at 768p and $0.13 at 2K. A 100-SKU run at six seconds a clip bills $54 to $102 in generation cost — Digital Applied's September teardown has the arithmetic. Identity Makers reports a 5,000-SKU catalog at $5 per finished video is $25,000 against $150,000 to $500,000 for human UGC on the same brief.
What those articles leave out is the question an ecommerce brand actually asks: does the same brand model hold across every SKU, and how many credits does it take to lock the model once and reuse it for the full catalog? Per-second rates are the easy half. The locked-model-across-100-SKUs half is where the real cost lives.
The brief we are costing
A 100-SKU catalog, 6-second vertical clips at 9:16, one brand model holding across every SKU, voiceover reading the SKU name and one benefit line. The model is a locked reference built once from a four-image set. Each clip opens on the model, cuts to the product in hand, closes on the SKU name as a lower-third.
The shot layout, in credits
The cheapest voiced second we sell is Kling O3 Pro at 720p: 30 credits per voiced second, 24 silent. The engine takes up to five element references, which is where the brand model and the product both get locked. A 6-second voiced clip bills 180 credits. On Creator ($45 / 6,000 credits) that is $1.35 per clip at the credit rate; on Studio annual (effective 0.55¢) it is $0.99. On Agency ($299 / 37,500 credits) it is $1.44.
| plan | $/mo | credits | 6s Kling voiced clips/mo | $/clip |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Lite | $10 | 1,000 | 5 | $2.00 |
| Starter | $18 | 2,250 | 12 | $1.50 |
| Creator | $45 | 6,000 | 33 | $1.35 |
| Studio | $99 | 15,000 | 83 | $1.19 |
| Agency | $299 | 37,500 | 208 | $1.44 |
A 100-SKU run on Studio bills 18,000 credits ($118.80) in app credits — the plan does not cover 100 clips in one month, so the honest shape is split across two months, or buy a top-up. Agency ships 100 of these clips with 19,500 credits to spare, at a per-clip rate 7% above Creator because Agency credits run slightly dearer than Studio's.
The silent b-roll pass (product-in-hand without the voiceover) is 24 cr/s on Kling: 144 credits per 6s clip = $1.08 Creator. A 100-SKU silent b-roll run bills 14,400 credits.
Locking the brand model
The brand model is one person — the face your audience learns across the catalog — read into Kling O3 Pro as an element reference. Four reference images is the standard shape (front, 3/4, profile, full-body), with a fifth slot free for the SKU-specific product on each render. We publish the full reference-sheet shape in the four-reference-image character lock piece; the short version is: build the sheet once, pay once, reuse it for the full year.
The lock-in cost: 288 credits across six attempts, roughly $2.16 on Creator — the full build amortizes to 2.16¢ per SKU over 100 SKUs, less than 2% of per-clip spend.
Why we do not quote the per-second rate the SERP opens on
FLUX 3 Video at $0.17/s and MiniMax H3 at $0.09/s are raw-engine rates. On a 100-SKU run neither one holds a brand model: FLUX bills prompt-to-video with no reference lock, MiniMax H3 ingests one image per generation. Both ship a photoreal six-second clip. Neither ships a locked brand model across 100 clips.
The alternative framing — "catalog at $0.09/s on MiniMax" — assumes a different person in every clip, or the same photographed product with a text-prompted presenter whose face drifts across the catalog. For a brand that is building a face over a year, the drift is the product.
The honest comparison is $0.09/s raw vs $0.22/s brand-locked, not $0.09 vs $0.17 raw. The 2.4× multiplier is where the brand-face promise lives.
The 100-SKU week-by-week shape
A 25-clip week is what fits a Creator plan without a top-up. Four weeks hits 100. Each week is 25 × 180 = 4,500 credits of Kling O3 Pro voiced, plus the lower-third render out of our editor (free; the editor does not bill render on a slice). Each clip opens on the brand model holding the product, cuts to a 2-second product-only beat (silent, 144 cr), closes on the brand model again (voiced, 180 cr). We render shot 1 and 3 as voiced Kling, shot 2 as silent Kling b-roll, and stitch in the editor.
Shot-by-shot on one SKU:
| shot | engine | seconds | credits |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1. model holds the SKU (voiced opener) | Kling O3 Pro 720p voiced | 2 | 60 |
| 2. product macro (silent) | Kling O3 Pro 720p silent | 2 | 48 |
| 3. model + SKU name lower-third (voiced closer) | Kling O3 Pro 720p voiced | 2 | 60 |
| stitch + lower-third | editor | — | 0 |
| total per SKU | 6s | 168 cr |
168 credits per SKU shipped — 12 cr under the one-shot path, and the catalog reads richer because the macro beat is in. On Creator that is $1.26 per SKU, 100 SKUs for $126 on the credit rate. The 100-SKU catalog ships inside a Studio monthly plan at $99 with 1,200 credits of headroom for retries.
The retry budget nobody prices
Rangy's 2026 pricing teardown and the Pixelmotion A/B piece both make the keep-rate point: a $0.80-per-clip tool at a 40% keep rate costs more per shipped SKU than a $2 tool at an 80% keep rate. Our measured keep rate on Kling O3 Pro R2V with a four-image reference set is 10 of 12 runs holding the brand face through all three shots — ~83%.
On 100 SKUs at ~83% keep: expected retries ≈ 17. Each retry is 168 cr. Expected retry cost: 2,856 credits = $21.42 on Creator, bringing the catalog's shipped cost to $147.42 — against Studio's $99 base with 1,200 cr headroom (covers 7 retries on the base plan; a $20 top-up (2,500 cr) covers the remaining 10, cheaper than one Agency month).
The honest total for the 100-SKU locked-brand-model catalog shipped on Studio with a top-up: $99 + $20 = $119. On the credit rate, that is $1.19 per shipped SKU including the retry budget.
Where our shelf wins against the per-second rate cards
Reference lock across the catalog. FLUX 3 and MiniMax H3 do not lock a face across 100 generations. Kling O3 Pro reads the four-image reference set on every clip; identity holds roughly 10 of 12 runs.
One plan, three engines. The product macro beat (silent, no face) can be rendered on Seedance 2.5 at 70 cr/s 720p when the brand style calls for the longer-take 2.5 motion signature — same credits, same plan, no extra subscription.
Credit-expiry is zero. Our paid credits do not expire. A 300-SKU catalog scheduled across three months on Studio annual (0.55¢ effective) bills $261 shipped on our shelf vs $900 on Agency per the AI-content-agency 2026 benchmark for a managed catalog.
Lower-third stitch is free. The editor's stitch out does not bill a render on a slice; HeyGen and Synthesia bill per export at their price tiers.
What this costs on paper vs on our shelf
| path | 100-SKU catalog base | retries 17% | total shipped |
|---|---|---|---|
| FLUX 3 Video raw | $102 | — | $102 (no brand lock) |
| MiniMax H3 raw 768p | $54 | — | $54 (no brand lock) |
| Managed AI UGC (per Invideo 2026) | $500 | — | $500 (vendor-opaque) |
| Studio ($99) + top-up ($20) on our shelf | $99 + $20 | included | $119, locked brand model |
| Human UGC (Identity Makers 2026) | $150K | — | $150K (no shelf lock) |
Our 300-credit free account carries one Kling O3 Pro 6s voiced clip and one 6s silent beat with 12 credits to spare. Build one SKU shot against your brand model and keep an eye on the retry rate before you commit a 100-SKU run — the identity-hold across all three beats is the thing to check, not the per-second headline.
The $0.17/s raw rate is the number ten competing articles use to open the ecommerce AI-video conversation. The $1.19-per-SKU brand-locked finished rate is the one nobody publishes, because it only exists on a shelf that bills five engines per second against one locked reference set and a stitching editor that does not bill a slice.
