The price you find depends on who you ask
Search for what Seedance 2.0 costs and you get a list of dollar rates that do not agree. One API host lists $0.30 a second at 720p with audio and $0.68 at 1080p. Another lists $0.19 at 720p. A third lists $0.11. ByteDance's own cloud has been reported at about one yuan a second, roughly $0.14. A video app with a promotional plan works out to under five cents a second. All of those are as of 2026-11-02, and the sources sit in our research notes.
The spread is not anyone lying. It is different resolutions, different audio settings, different discounts, and different dates. What none of those pages gives you is the number you actually need before you press render: how much one whole clip, at the length you want, takes out of your balance.
This page is that number for Seedance 2.0 on our meter. It comes from the same rate file the studio uses to print the price under the render button, so the table below and the button always match.
The rate
Seedance 2.0 bills per second, by resolution:
| resolution | credits per second |
|---|---|
| 480p | 22 |
| 720p | 45 |
| 1080p | 70 |
Four rules sit behind those three numbers.
Sound costs nothing extra. Seedance prices by resolution only. A voiced clip and a silent clip of the same length cost the same, so switching the audio off saves nothing. Kling O3 Pro and Veo 3.1 Fast work differently: their silent second is cheaper, and our silent vs voiced page has that split.
References cost nothing extra. Seedance 2.0 takes up to 9 reference images. One image or nine, the clip still bills on length and resolution.
A clip runs 4 to 15 seconds. That is one take. There is no automatic join on Seedance 2.0; a longer scene is two shots, or it belongs on Seedance 2.5, which renders up to 30 seconds in one take.
Seconds round up. Every provider we use bills whole seconds, and so do we. Ask for 7.4 seconds and you pay for 8. The shortest billable clip is 4 seconds.
The table: one clip, every length
| length | 480p | 720p | 1080p |
|---|---|---|---|
| 4 s | 88 | 180 | 280 |
| 5 s | 110 | 225 | 350 |
| 6 s | 132 | 270 | 420 |
| 8 s | 176 | 360 | 560 |
| 10 s | 220 | 450 | 700 |
| 12 s | 264 | 540 | 840 |
| 15 s | 330 | 675 | 1,050 |
A free account starts with 300 credits. On Seedance 2.0 that is three 4-second tests at 480p with 36 to spare, or one 13-second clip at 480p, or one 6-second clip at 720p, or one 4-second clip at 1080p. If you are learning the engine, the three tests teach you far more than one long clip.
Seedance 2.0 is cheaper than Seedance 2.0 Fast
The word "Fast" suggests the budget option. On our shelf it is not. Here are the three Seedance models next to each other:
| engine | 480p | 720p | 1080p | longest take | references |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Seedance 2.0 | 22 | 45 | 70 | 15 s | 9 images |
| Seedance 2.0 Fast | 25 | 50 | not served | 15 s | 9 images |
| Seedance 2.5 | 35 | 70 | 130 | 30 s | 30 images |
Seedance 2.0 is 3 credits a second under Fast at 480p and 5 under it at 720p, and it is the only one of the pair that renders 1080p. A 10-second clip at 720p is 450 credits on 2.0 and 500 on 2.0 Fast.
The reason is how we set rates: each engine follows what its provider charges us, and the full 2.0 model came down further in our October price cut than Fast did. Some older copy still calls Fast "half the price"; the rate file is what bills, and it is what this page uses. If the lowest credit count is all you care about, choose Seedance 2.0. Fast is there for people who like its turnaround. Our Seedance 2.0 Fast credits page has its own table.
Where 1080p is worth it
1080p on Seedance 2.0 is 70 credits a second, a little more than one and a half times the 720p rate. On Seedance 2.5 the same resolution is 130. So if a scene must be delivered at 1080p and fits in 15 seconds with nine references or fewer, Seedance 2.0 is the cheapest 1080p Seedance second we sell:
| 8-second clip at 1080p | credits |
|---|---|
| Seedance 2.0 | 560 |
| Seedance 2.5 | 1,040 |
| Veo 3.1 Fast, voiced | 240 |
| Veo 3.1 Fast, silent | 160 |
Veo 3.1 Fast is cheaper still at 1080p, but it only renders 4, 6 or 8 seconds and takes 3 references, and a reference render on Veo is always 8 seconds. Different engines suit different shots; the 1080p vs 720p page works through when the extra resolution actually shows on a phone.
For most 9:16 shorts we finish at 720p. Phones scale it well, and the saving pays for a retake.
Budget the retake, not just the render
The number under the button is one attempt. Our rule for any Seedance shot is to budget one and a half times it: the render plus a half-chance of doing it again.
| shot | one attempt | with retake allowance |
|---|---|---|
| 4 s test, 480p | 88 | 132 |
| 8 s beat, 720p | 360 | 540 |
| 12 s scene, 720p | 540 | 810 |
| 15 s scene, 1080p | 1,050 | 1,575 |
A 15-second take that breaks at second 13 costs all 15 seconds again, because no engine re-renders part of a take. When a scene can cut, two 6 to 8-second shots let you redo only the half that failed. Our retry guide covers what to change before you press render a second time.
How we use Seedance 2.0 in a real scene
Our pattern is to draft cheap, then finish once.
- Block the shot at 480p. A 4-second draft is 88 credits. Check the camera move, who stands where, and whether @Image1 still reads as the same person.
- Change one thing per draft. Most misses are prompt problems: two actions in one shot, a camera move that fights the action, a description that disagrees with the reference.
- Finish at 720p or 1080p on the same engine. The tags and references carry over with no edits, because the draft and the finish are the same model.
| a 10-second scene | credits |
|---|---|
| two drafts at 480p, 4 s each | 176 |
| finish at 720p | 450 |
| total | 626 |
The same scene finished at 1080p is 876. You can check every one of these numbers before spending anything: open the studio, pick Seedance 2.0, and drag the length slider to watch the quote move one second at a time. Ask for something the engine cannot do, like 16 seconds, and the studio shows no price at all instead of a guess.
FAQ
How many credits does a Seedance 2.0 video cost?
On ReelDouble Seedance 2.0 costs 22 credits a second at 480p, 45 at 720p and 70 at 1080p. An 8-second clip is 176, 360 or 560 credits, and a 15-second clip is 330, 675 or 1,050.
Is Seedance 2.0 cheaper than Seedance 2.0 Fast?
Yes, on ReelDouble. Seedance 2.0 is 22 credits a second at 480p and 45 at 720p, against 25 and 50 for 2.0 Fast, and only 2.0 renders 1080p.
