Seedance 2.0 Fast credits per clip: every length at 480p and 720p
What one Seedance 2.0 Fast clip costs in credits from 4 to 15 seconds at 480p and 720p, why audio costs nothing extra, and when Seedance 2.0 is cheaper.

Why every price you found is different
Look up what Seedance 2.0 Fast costs and you get a spread, not a price. One API host lists $0.074 a second at 480p and $0.161 at 720p. Another lists $0.056 at 480p. A third lists $0.122 and $0.260. A consumer app quotes 232 of its credits for an 8-second 720p clip (all as of 2026-11-01). Some of those pages are a few months old, some are promotional rates, and all of them count in a different currency.
None of that tells you what the clip you are about to render will take out of your balance. That number depends on one meter: the one you pay into. On ours it comes from a single rate file that the studio also uses to show the price under the render button. This page is that file, written out for Seedance 2.0 Fast, with the one comparison nobody else makes: whether Fast is actually the cheap Seedance.
The rate
Seedance 2.0 Fast bills per second, by resolution:
| resolution | credits per second |
|---|---|
| 480p | 25 |
| 720p | 50 |
| 1080p | not served |
Four facts sit behind those two numbers.
Audio is free. Seedance prices by resolution, not by sound. A voiced clip and a silent clip of the same length cost the same, so there is no reason to switch the audio off to save credits. Kling O3 Pro and Veo 3.1 Fast are different: their silent second is cheaper. Our silent vs voiced page has that split.
References are free. Seedance 2.0 Fast takes up to 9 reference images. One image or nine, the clip bills on length and resolution only.
It stops at 15 seconds. Seedance 2.0 Fast renders 4 to 15 seconds in one take. There is no join. If a shot needs to run longer, it is two shots, or it belongs on Seedance 2.5, which runs to 30 seconds in one take.
Seconds round up. Every engine we use bills whole seconds, so we do too. Set 7.3 seconds and you pay for 8. The shortest billable clip is 4 seconds.
The table: one clip, every length
| length | 480p | 720p |
|---|---|---|
| 4 s | 100 | 200 |
| 5 s | 125 | 250 |
| 6 s | 150 | 300 |
| 8 s | 200 | 400 |
| 10 s | 250 | 500 |
| 12 s | 300 | 600 |
| 15 s | 375 | 750 |
A free account starts with 300 credits. On Seedance 2.0 Fast that is exactly one 12-second clip at 480p, or one 6-second clip at 720p, or three 4-second tests at 480p. If you are spending the free credits, the three 4-second tests teach you more than one long clip: you find out whether the prompt, the camera move and the reference hold before you put length behind them.
Is Fast the cheapest Seedance? Not on our meter
The name suggests Fast is the budget model. On our shelf it is not. Here are the three Seedance models side by side:
| engine | 480p | 720p | 1080p | longest clip | references |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Seedance 2.0 Fast | 25 | 50 | not served | 15 s | 9 images |
| Seedance 2.0 | 22 | 45 | 70 | 15 s | 9 images |
| Seedance 2.5 | 35 | 70 | 130 | 30 s | 30 images |
Seedance 2.0 bills 3 credits a second less at 480p and 5 less at 720p, and it is the only one of the pair with 1080p. A 12-second clip at 720p is 600 credits on 2.0 Fast and 540 on 2.0.
That is the result of how we set prices: each engine's rate follows what its provider charges us, and the full 2.0 model came down in our October price cut. We would rather show you that than let a model name do the talking. If the lowest credit count is the only thing you are optimising, pick Seedance 2.0. Fast is the model ByteDance built for quick turnaround, and we keep it on the shelf for people who draft that way.
How we actually use it: draft, then finish
Our working pattern for a Seedance scene is draft cheap, finish once.
- Draft at 480p. Block the shot at the lowest resolution: camera move, who stands where, whether @Image1 still reads as the same character after a costume change. A 4-second draft at 480p is 100 credits on 2.0 Fast or 88 on 2.0.
- Fix the prompt, not the engine. Most misses are a prompt problem: two actions in one shot, a camera move that fights the action, a character described differently from the reference. Change one thing per draft.
- Finish at 720p on the engine the scene needs. For a 15-second shot or less with nine references or fewer, finishing on 2.0 at 720p is cheapest. For richer motion, more than nine references or a longer take, finish on Seedance 2.5.
Because both Seedance 2.0 models take the same @Image tags and the same 9 references, a draft on 2.0 Fast moves to 2.0 with no prompt changes. Moving up to 2.5 also keeps the tags; 2.5 just has room for more references.
| a 12-second scene | credits |
|---|---|
| one draft on 2.0 Fast, 480p | 300 |
| finish on 2.0, 720p | 540 |
| total, 2.0 finish | 840 |
| one draft on 2.0 Fast, 480p | 300 |
| finish on 2.5, 720p | 840 |
| total, 2.5 finish | 1,140 |
Budget the retake, not just the render
The price under the button is one attempt. Our rule for any Seedance shot is to budget one and a half times the rate: the render plus a half-chance retake. On Seedance 2.0 Fast that looks like this:
| shot | one attempt | with retake allowance |
|---|---|---|
| 4 s test, 480p | 100 | 150 |
| 8 s beat, 480p | 200 | 300 |
| 8 s beat, 720p | 400 | 600 |
| 15 s scene, 720p | 750 | 1,125 |
A 15-second take that goes wrong at second 12 costs all 15 seconds again, because no engine can re-render part of a take. If a scene can cut, two shots of 6 to 8 seconds let you redo only the half that failed. Our page on splitting a 60-second video into shots shows where we put the cuts.
How it compares with the other cheap seconds
Seedance 2.0 Fast is not the only engine people use for drafts. Here is one 8-second shot at 720p on each engine we sell:
| engine | 8 s at 720p, voiced | 8 s at 720p, silent |
|---|---|---|
| Veo 3.1 Fast | 240 | 160 |
| Kling O3 Pro | 240 | 192 |
| Seedance 2.0 | 360 | 360 |
| Seedance 2.0 Fast | 400 | 400 |
| Seedance 2.5 | 560 | 560 |
Kling O3 Pro and Veo 3.1 Fast are cheaper per voiced second at 720p, but they are different engines with different strengths. Kling takes 5 characters as elements and renders up to 15 seconds per shot. Veo 3.1 Fast only renders 4, 6 or 8 seconds and takes 3 reference images. A draft only helps if it is on the engine you will finish on, or on one whose prompt carries over cleanly. That is why we draft Seedance scenes on Seedance.
Read the quote before you press render
Every number on this page is what the studio shows under the render button, worked out from the same rates. Slide the length or switch the resolution and the quote moves before anything is billed. Ask for something the engine cannot serve, like 1080p on Seedance 2.0 Fast or 16 seconds, and the studio shows no price at all instead of a guess. Open the studio, pick Seedance 2.0 Fast and drag the length to watch the credit line change one second at a time.
Credits you buy do not expire, so this week's 480p drafts and next week's 720p finish come out of the same balance.
FAQ
How many credits does a Seedance 2.0 Fast video cost?
On ReelDouble Seedance 2.0 Fast costs 25 credits a second at 480p and 50 at 720p. An 8-second clip is 200 credits at 480p or 400 at 720p, and a 15-second clip is 375 or 750.
Is Seedance 2.0 Fast cheaper than Seedance 2.0?
Not on ReelDouble. Seedance 2.0 is 22 credits a second at 480p and 45 at 720p, against 25 and 50 for 2.0 Fast, and only 2.0 offers 1080p. Pick 2.0 if the lowest credit count matters most.
Does Seedance 2.0 Fast cost less without sound?
No. Seedance prices by resolution, so a silent clip costs the same as a voiced one. Attaching reference images does not change the price either.
What is the longest Seedance 2.0 Fast clip?
15 seconds in one take, at 480p or 720p. For a continuous take up to 30 seconds, ReelDouble offers Seedance 2.5 instead, at 35 credits a second at 480p or 70 at 720p.
Can I test Seedance 2.0 Fast with free credits?
Yes. A free ReelDouble account starts with 300 credits, which covers three 4-second Seedance 2.0 Fast tests at 480p, one 12-second clip at 480p or one 6-second clip at 720p.
