Seedance 2.5 credits per clip: every length and resolution in one table

What one Seedance 2.5 clip costs in credits at 4 to 30 seconds and 480p, 720p or 1080p, why voiced and silent bill the same, and how to budget a retake.

Why the numbers you found do not agree

Search "Seedance 2.5 credits" and the first page gives you seven answers that sit ten times apart. One host says 500 credits for a 10-second clip at 720p. Another says 75 credits a second. Another bills in compute units, 856 of them for five seconds. Another quotes dollars per second and skips credits entirely (all as of 2026-10-29). None of them is wrong. They are just counting in different money.

A credit is a coupon. It only means something next to the price of the coupon, and every host sets its own. So comparing "500 credits" on one site with "700 credits" on ours tells you nothing until you know what one credit costs on each. The useful question is narrower: on the meter you actually pay into, what does the clip you are about to render cost, before you press the button?

That is the one we can answer exactly, because the rates live in one file in our code and the studio quotes from it. This page is that file written out as a table.

The rate

Seedance 2.5 on our shelf bills per second, by resolution:

resolutioncredits per second
480p35
720p70
1080p130

Three facts sit behind those three numbers.

Voiced and silent cost the same. Seedance prices by resolution, not by audio, so switching the sound off does not move the meter. On Kling O3 Pro and Veo 3.1 Fast the silent second is cheaper; on any Seedance model it is not. We wrote up that difference in the silent vs voiced math.

References are free. Seedance 2.5 takes up to 30 reference images. Attaching one or thirty does not change the price; the clip is billed on its length and resolution only.

Seconds round up. Every engine we use bills a whole second, so we do too. A clip set to 4.2 seconds is billed as 5. The shortest clip billed is 4 seconds.

The table: one clip, every length

Seedance 2.5 renders anything from 4 to 30 seconds in one take, with no join. Here is the whole grid:

length480p720p1080p
4 s140280520
6 s210420780
8 s2805601,040
10 s3507001,300
12 s4208401,560
15 s5251,0501,950
20 s7001,4002,600
30 s1,0502,1003,900

Two rows matter more than the rest. The 4-second row is your test: it is the cheapest way to see whether a prompt and a cast hold before you commit to length. The 30-second row is the reason to pick Seedance 2.5 at all. No other engine on our shelf renders 30 seconds as one continuous take. Kling O3 Pro reaches 30 by joining two 15-second generations; Seedance 2.0 and 2.0 Fast stop at 15; Veo 3.1 Fast stops at 8.

A free account starts with 300 credits. That covers one 8-second clip at 480p (280) or one 4-second clip at 720p (280). It does not cover a 4-second 1080p clip (520). If you are on the free credits, test at 480p, then spend real credits on 720p once the shot works.

Picking the resolution

720p is the default and the row we render most. For a phone screen at 9:16 it is where most of our published reels sit.

480p is half the price and is the right call for drafts: blocking a scene, checking that @Image1 is still the same character after a costume change, testing a camera move. We draft at 480p and re-render the keeper at 720p. The re-render costs the 720p price again, so a 12-second shot drafted once and finished once is 420 plus 840, or 1,260 credits.

1080p is 130 a second, nearly double 720p. We use it for hero shots that will be cropped, reframed, or shown on a large screen. For a vertical reel that will be compressed by the platform anyway, the extra 60 credits a second rarely shows.

Budget the retake, not just the render

The price on the button is the price of one attempt. Real scenes take more than one. Our working rule is to budget each Seedance 2.5 shot at one and a half times its rate: one render plus a half-chance retake.

shotone attempt (720p)with retake allowance
8 s cold open560840
15 s story beat1,0501,575
30 s one take2,1003,150

The 30-second one take is where this bites. A miss at second 25 means paying for all 30 again, because Seedance cannot re-render a slice of a take. That is the hidden cost of a long take, and it is the reason we only use the full 30 when the scene truly has to be continuous: a walk-and-talk, a reveal that needs an unbroken camera, a dance. For anything that can cut, two 15-second shots let you retake the half that failed. Our 30-second one-take cost page runs that trade in full.

When another Seedance is cheaper

Seedance 2.5 is our most expensive per-second engine at 720p. Two siblings bill less for clips up to 15 seconds:

engine480p720p1080plongest clip
Seedance 2.5357013030 s
Seedance 2.022457015 s
Seedance 2.0 Fast2550not served15 s

A 12-second clip at 720p is 840 credits on 2.5 and 540 on 2.0. If your shot is under 15 seconds, uses 9 references or fewer, and does not need 2.5's motion, 2.0 is the cheaper Seedance. We still open on 2.5 by default because its motion and its 30 reference slots carry most of the scenes our customers build. Our 2.5 vs 2.0 page has the side-by-side.

Read the quote before you press render

Every number above is the number the studio shows under the render button, computed from the same rate file. Change the length or the resolution and the quote changes before anything is billed. If a combination cannot be served, such as 1080p on Seedance 2.0 Fast or 31 seconds on anything, the studio shows no price at all instead of a guess. Set a Seedance 2.5 clip in the studio and slide the length: the credit line moves with it, second by second.

Credits you buy do not expire, so a draft at 480p today and the 720p finish next week come out of the same balance.

FAQ

How many credits does a 10 second Seedance 2.5 video cost?

On ReelDouble a 10-second Seedance 2.5 clip costs 350 credits at 480p, 700 at 720p and 1,300 at 1080p. Voiced and silent cost the same, and attaching reference images does not change the price.

Does Seedance 2.5 cost less without audio?

No. Seedance prices by resolution, not by audio, so a silent clip costs the same as a voiced one. On ReelDouble Seedance 2.5 is 70 credits a second at 720p either way.

What is the longest Seedance 2.5 clip and what does it cost?

Seedance 2.5 renders up to 30 seconds in one continuous take. On ReelDouble that is 1,050 credits at 480p, 2,100 at 720p and 3,900 at 1080p.

Can I try Seedance 2.5 with free credits?

Yes. A free ReelDouble account starts with 300 credits, enough for one 8-second Seedance 2.5 clip at 480p or one 4-second clip at 720p. Test at 480p first, then finish the keeper at 720p.

Why do Seedance 2.5 credit prices differ so much between sites?

Each site sets its own credit and its own dollar value per credit, so credit counts cannot be compared directly. Compare the cost of the same clip length and resolution in the money you actually pay.
